About On Stage in NC
OnStageinNC.com is a service of the not-for-profit NC Presenters Consortium, Inc. (NCPC), a statewide network of professional performing arts presenting organizations and industry professionals throughout North Carolina and beyond who share the mission of bringing artists and audiences together at venues large and small throughout our great state.
With members including presenting organizations, performing artists, managers, agents, vendors and service providers from within the performing arts industry, NCPC has grown into one of the nation’s most respected statewide presenter consortia. Founded in 1991, NCPC has become a respected leader in the spirit of non-competitive, collaborative booking and audience growth initiatives, and welcomes your participation, input and support.
Our statewide event calendar OnStageinNC.com is an outgrowth of the original hard-copy publication On Stage in North Carolina, first published in 1998 to provide to in-state residents and visitors a convenient guide to performing arts opportunities scheduled throughout the state.
In 2006, the publication was transformed to a web-based events calendar, established to serve as a broader centralized information resource for performing arts events occurring throughout North Carolina. Presenting and producing organizations, for-profit and not-for-profit presenters, outdoor venues and festivals, subscription series, nightclubs, community-based theatres, house concerts and more are encouraged to post their events to this convenient site.
